Candle Care
Burn your candle for 4 hours the first time you light it. This will ensure a more even burn and prevent a tunneling effect.
Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. This will prevent the container becoming too hot.
Never touch or try to lift the container whilst burning.
Trim the wick to 4mm in between each burn. This will ensure a safe flame height as well as helping to prevent sooting and smoking.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Ensure the candle is placed on a heat proof surface.
Keep lit candle away from children, pets, draughts and anything flammable.
Once the wax is less than 10mm from the bottom it’s time to say goodbye to your candle and reuse the container. This is to prevent the container from overheating.
Place the candle in the freezer and pop out the frozen wax or use a heat tool to melt the wax and wipe out with paper towels. Wash the container with soap and water and re-use to your heart's content. We provide wildflower seed paper with every candle providing a fun and easy way to reuse your candle jar even in the winter. Follow the steps above to prepare your container. Fill with soil, plant the seed paper under a light layer of soil, place by a window, water gently and watch your wildflowers grow!
