Ordering
What makes your candles non-toxic?
Our candles are made with soy wax, a renewable and biodegradable resource. We use premium, non-toxic fragrances that are free from harmful chemicals, including:
Phthalates, Parabens, Carcinogenic,Mutagenic and Reprotoxic substances, Endocrine and Hormone disruptors, Silicones, PEG (Polyethylene Glycol), Acrylates & Lilial
In addition, all of our packaging is plastic-free, making it environmentally friendly. We plant a tree for every order placed through our partnership with Ecologi, and we include wildflower seeds with every signature candle to encourage the eco-friendly reuse of the candle vessels. Our products are also suitable for vegans and are cruelty free.
Do you offer samples?
Yes, we currently offer a sample pack of wax melts featuring a selection of our 9 signature scents. You can purchase this sample pack directly from our store to explore the full range of our fragrances. Additionally, we include a free wax melt sample with every order, so you can experience more of our luxurious scents with each purchase.
What is the burn time for your candles?
Our 180ml Amber Jar candles have an average burn time of 30-35 hours. Our 30cl candles have an average and approximate burn time of 44 hours, our 36cl candles have an average burn time of 46–50 hours, depending on how they are cared for. Make sure to trim the wick before each burn and allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface to get the most out of your candle.
How can I care for my candle?
To ensure the best experience, follow these tips:
Allow the wax to melt fully across the surface during the first burn to prevent tunneling. Burn for 4 hours the first time you light the candle, However, avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
Keep candles away from drafts, children, and pets. Never leave a lit candle unattended. Do not attempt to move a lit candle once it is on. Always place on a heat proof surface.Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn. For more please see our Candle Care page or our Candle Care blog.
Can I cancel my order?
We completely get it, we change our minds too! While we wish could, once an order is placed, we are unable to alter or cancel it at this time. We hope to have a cancellation window one day in the future.
Should the item(s) not work out, make sure to exchange for a preferred style or return for a refund. As a reminder, domestic return shipping is free.
Shipping, Returns & Exchanges
We use all major carriers, and local courier partners. You’ll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout.
What is the shipping policy?
Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that we have received your order. Once your order is fulfilled, you will receive an email notification with your tracking information. Shipping fees are non-refundable in the case of returns.please see more here.
Do you ship overseas?
Unfortunately, we are currently only able to ship within the UK.
What is your refund policy?
Here at The Scented Essence Candle Co. we take pride in the quality of our hand-poured candles. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, you can request a refund or exchange within 14 days of receiving your item. To be eligible, the item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition as when received. Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if it’s damaged or incorrect, providing photographic evidence if necessary.
